Future Shock is an angular, futuristic typeface inspired by Cedric Price, an english architect whose work in the mid-late 20th century addressed futurity with humor and dynamic technological approaches. Price's style of writing and drawing, as well as the first hardcover edition jacket of 'Future Shock' by Alvin Toffler, designed by S. Neil Fujita in 1970 influenced its distinguishing severe angles and rounded grooves.
Future Shock was initially drawn in 2019 for Cedric's at the Shed, a restaurant/café in the lobby of The Shed.
